Excuses, we all have them! Some are very legitimate and some are self-imposed roadblocks. I know I can think of excuses instantly when I dont want to do something or when I want to justify my actions. Most of the time we may use excuses to get others off our case, but we dont realize we are only affecting ourselves! Of course, this being a health/fitness blog, I want you to think about your excuses regarding your health.
Are you still not exercising because of the following:
3. You cant afford a gym membership or equipment
You know these are just excuses! Here are solutions to those excuses:
1. Time- take 30 minutes and enjoy a nice walk or take (2) 15 minute walks- exercise while watching a 30 minute sitcom even during the commercials equals a nice amount of time to exercise.
2. Hate it- Nowadays there are so MANY workouts available- You can dance to your favorite music, you can use video games such as Wii Fitness and other game systems that have games to get you moving. Group classes that are include great music and instructors can make you love it! Keep searching until you find it. Its not able the bike or treadmill anymore!3. Cost- gyms are great, however they are not your only workout option. You can create your own workout space easily without spending money. Use your feet- move! Use canned goods or other heavy objects around the house for weights; jog in place in your living room, walk or run outside. You can check your program listings and find exercise programs that come on tv and follow them!
These are just a few excuses for not exercising, you see how easy the solutions are? We can all think of options when we really want to accomplish something! So stop the excuses!
